Hydrogen Safe delivers an extensive range of training courses designed to meet the needs of learners at all levels of experience and responsibility.

Government Approved Training

We have developed levelled courses that are recognised by the government body responsible for regulating qualifications, exams, and assessments (Ofqual).

These are formal qualifications in Hydrogen Safety Practices ranging from from Level 1 to Level 4. Each level covers the same core subject areas, but with increasing depth and complexity.

This structure allows people across the full value chain to access the level of understanding that best fits their role.

Hydrogen Safety Passport (HSP)

The HSP is a one-day industry focused course that reinforces the fundamental principles of safety before applying them to hydrogen gas systems.

It ensures staff understand wider health and safety duties and best practice, helping them place hydrogen systems in the correct operational context.

The aim is to build competence in working around hydrogen by helping staff identify hazards and understand how risks are reduced through good design and safe working practices.

We have developed e-modules that provide access to our industry-led learning in a self-paced format.

These can be completed at any time, without the need to attend a scheduled course.

We also offer courses developed with our industry partners, which are available to purchase and complete.

Bespoke CPD

We offer consultancy and support in the design and delivery of bespoke CPD to increase competence of site staff and reduce risk in accordance to your site’s needs.

This can build on our existing courses, which provide the core knowledge, before we work with you to add the tailored content you require.

It can also include site-specific information, such as upcoming changes that operators may need to understand in advance.
