We are very pleased to announce that thanks to a partnership with Northern Valve & Fitting Company Ltd. (NVFCL), the exclusive UK distributor for the FITOK Group, we have launched a two-day Tube Fitting Installation and Hydrogen Competency Course.
Integrating practical learning with theory, it will be split into two sections: a one-day online theory-based hydrogen competency course to increase safety awareness, and a one-day practical-based NVFCL (CPD Certified) tube fitting course in various settings.
Day one will be delivered remotely in-person where delegates will be asked to take a multiple-choice examination, resulting in a Level 1 Hydrogen Safety Practices qualification and a Bronze Hydrogen Safe Verification Register e-card.
Day two will be delivered on site in-person and delegates will take a theoretical examination and practical test on tube bending and receive a NVFCL certificate.
The course is ideally suited to anyone interested in gas systems who may be working with or using hydrogen now or in the future, such as installation technicians, pipe fitters, project engineers and managers, system designers and procurement specialists.
Commercial Director for NVFCL, Mitch Brunt, comments: “Bringing our expertise together with Hydrogen Safe makes perfect sense. As two companies that are heavily invested in a move to clean energy and decarbonisation, we can see the skills gap and the need for businesses to equip their workforce for the future.
“We hope that businesses throughout the UK and across sector will access this training, giving them the support, guidance and education that progressive companies need. We know that there are many companies that want to embrace change to create opportunities through the green economy.”
Director of Partnerships at Hydrogen Safe, Elizabeth Simon, comments: “We are delighted to be working with Northern Valve. Not only are they a reputable company with decades of experience, but they have the same commitment and ambition to enabling business with the skills they will need to access the green economy.
“We can see the skills that are required and the benefits that having greater knowledge will bring to businesses. We look forward to delivering this training that integrates practical learning with theory to companies that will use it to futureproof their workforce and possibly generate new business pipelines in the process.”
Providing access to trainers with real-world expertise; facilitators with more than two decades of industry knowledge and insight; practical, hands-on training tailored to relevant sectors; and support to net zero and safer installations, this training has been exclusively developed by NVFCL and Hydrogen Safe.
