DESCRIPTION:Hydrogen Qualification: Level 4\nThe course provides an in-depth exploration of hydrogen safety\, combining scientific principles with practical safety procedures. Learners will develop a thorough understanding of hydrogen systems and stay up to date with the latest advancements in technology and safety practices. \nThis course is split into 5 key Units: \nUnit 1: Hydrogen’s properties\nLearners explore the chemistry of hydrogen and how it compares to other fuels\, gaining detailed knowledge of its structure and properties. This foundational understanding is essential throughout the course. \nUnit 2: Hydrogen Safety & Risk Management\nLearners have in-depth instruction on classifying hazards\, risk assessments\, risk mitigation strategies and the regulatory requirements which enforce them. \nUnit 3: Hydrogen Production Methods\nLearners examine the science behind various hydrogen production methods\, deepening their understanding of technological advancements and key safety considerations. \nUnit 4: Hydrogen Storage & Distribution\nLearners explore the structure\, safety\, and use of hydrogen storage mediums\, comparing their practicality. They also analyse transportation methods (pipelines\, tube trailers\, rail\, and ship) focusing on design and safety. \nUnit 5: Hydrogen’s Uses and Applications\nLearners will explore hydrogen applications\, including fuel cells and internal combustion engines\, along with safety considerations for refuelling stations\, tunnels\, and confined spaces.
