“It’s like my future is starting right here, right now” – Michael’s #IamHydrogenSafe story

A student undertaking an Apprenticeship as a Construction Support Technician at Hopwood Hall College, Michael shared some of his motivations, inspirations and experiences of receiving training supplied by Hydrogen Safe as part of his qualification. Read on to discover more!

💚 Your Green Story: how did your personal journey lead you to a career in the green energy sector?
“The role appealed to many of my strengths and interests: I like science and I’m technically minded, so I enjoyed researching the industry. In particular, I read ‘The Hydrogen Revolution’ by Marco Alvera and that helped me to get very excited about the future.”

✅ What plans do you have once you’ve completed your training?
“From what I have learned so far, I will be qualified around the time that HyNET is gathering steam… hydrogen? So I would be proud and delighted to secure a role within this project.”

✨ What are you excited about for the future?
Meeting the energy needs of a growing, developing planet through hydrogen, with limited impact on the environment, actively tackling climate change through innovation and giving hope to our younger and future generations – what could be better?”
